We also spent a couple of wonderful days with our good friend and former pastor Skip, and his family, at Thousand Oaks, and he showed us around Malibu and the surrounding area.
But what products impressed us? I have to say we walked the first few aisles thinking all the new products were just more of the same and then we saw the envelope punch board from We R Memory Keepers. It creates over 60 different sizes of envelope, is easy to use and compact. Definitely our fave tool of the show.
There were loads of beautiful papers but the two stands that blew us away were Authentique and GCD Studios. Nige actually said he would not mind if I ordered every single range from Authentique! He must have been impressed, believe me.
The Ranger stand was impressive as usual with constant demos from Tim, Claudine Helmuth and Dyan Reaveley. I loved the new Distress Paints.
Burlap and canvas were very much in evidence for mini albums, layouts and home decor. Findings and embellishments featured strongly at Ranger and Prima. The Prima stand was also a favourite with some very appealing paper ranges and unique embellishments. Their samples of cards, layouts, mini books and home decor were outstanding.
More info on the classes I attended in my next post as already this is long-winded, but I just want to invite anyone who wishes to post a comment on here by the end of Sunday 27th, in order to be entered into a draw for one of the CHA ideology bag we received. (Okay so I wouldn't let Nige use his so I could give it away)!
I will be on Create and Craft this coming Saturday 26th at 9am and 12 noon if you can tune in, and if you want to fold along with me have an 8" square of paper handy at nine when I will be demoing an explosion book!
Hope you are keeping warm!
