But we are still not ready to retreat inside just yet and, even if we are wearing woollies sometimes, we are still eating as many meals as possible outdoors. Nige just asked where the cinnamon was as he fancied making apple pie (or something similar, as he also mentioned puff pastry! - yikes) from apples on one of our trees.
My blueberry bushes are still not yielding much fruit but they did have to suffer a relocation early this year. Also our tomatoes are way behind because of the awful spring but it will be nice to enjoy them for longer this year.
Okay having brought you up to date on the Merry garden I wanted to share three projects that Nige worked so conscientiously on at the brill retailer day at Craftwork Cards yesterday. First up, and my fave, an easel card made from three kraft tags and the beautiful new foiled Time Flies collection and mannequin pad.
We had a great time. I honestly love their products. They are so 'clean' but their products are 'out there', their samples are amazing, and their paper designs are on a par with any of the US companies we buy from.
There are still pearls and bling to add to these but I was proud he knuckled down. I, true to form, did half a job and then sat back and demolished a bag of sweets they gave each of us! These products should be with us next week. (Not the sweets!)
If you like their style and products you need to bookmark our Big Birthday Demo Day September 21st and watch this space for our line-up for the day. Just confirming some details and will advertise that hopefully by the weekend.
Looking forward to a wedding of close friends on Thursday in which Joel and Georgia are playing a big part. Will post photos.
Hope your week is sunny and bright.
