Small but mighty!

Mr Nigel and I had a fantabuloso time at the Artstamps Wrexham show. It was one of those times that reminds me why I do the job I do. It was a whole day of chatting with current friends, getting reaquainted with old friends and making new ones too. Our microscopic stand done good!

I had the pleasure of teaching two workshops. It was exciting for me to see the buzz about Zentangle and, even as the class was in progress, other ladies were asking if I was doing the class again and if they needed to book. We used two of the new uber versatile stamps from Woodware. Although we did paper piece a little on both of the cards, these stamps would look great fully paper pieced too.

As requested I will include these cards as part of a Zentangle Christmas class. Watch the workshop schedule. (Incidentally the September schedule is due out in the next few days and its packed with some tremendulous new classes - about 9 methinks!)

Onwards and upwards.

Hugs

Live, laugh, love!

Another retreat bites the dust - but what a blast we had. I am sure I had as much fun as if I had been an attendee and that's saying something. Next years Scrapcamp has only 12 places remaining. Novembers retreat is chocca block but we do have a waiting list if you are interested.

Just wanted to show you a suggestion for using these wooden blanks we stock in the shop. There are numerous different shaped packs and they dont have to be stacked as I have done. They could be hung one above the other. The edges look like they do because they have been laser cut but this could be used to your advantage if you were leaving them natural coloured.

I covered the two pieces with decorative paper from Teresa Collins Stationery Noted range. I trimmed the edges and gave them a quick sand to smooth.

Use a strong wet glue (such as the new collall tacky glue) to adhere them one on top of the other. I used a charcoal cats eye ink to edge both pieces before I glued them together.

The extra wood pieces are also from Adornit.

I chose not to colour these. From the same paper range I chose and cut a postcard saying and diecut some rosette flowers. I also created some bunting. Mess about with the placement until you are happy with it. I inked the edges of all the paper elements with the charcoal ink again. Glue all the elements down when you are happy with the design.

Use a cropadile to punch two holes to add twine or ribbon to form a hanger. Voila!

Tomorrow, Saturday, we will be at Artstamps Wrexham, so if you want a crafty browse, come along. I am also hosting two workshops during the day.

Happy Friday!

Almost there.....

And here's me thinking you wouldn't even notice if I laid low for a while but some of you have commented you have missed my inane ramblings which I find very sweet. I have not been sitting drinking coffee, reading mags and watching daytime tv (although there is nothing wrong with that - I am just well jel)! I have been immersed 24/7 in top secret plans - our Scrapcamp is this coming weekend! Aaaaaaaaargh! Surely not! Can't be! And so as I have been working on the workshops for this I haven't been able to share any projects with you - no not even sneak peeks! I am big on surprises, in fact I drive my family mad trying to make everything a surprise.

I have also been working on a project for our Christmas in July weekend coming up in two weeks. Come along and make this goooooorgeous advent calendar! Such fun! (That was for fans of Miranda).

Tomorrow I will be at Inspirations demoing the new Big Shot machine and new Christmas Marianne dies (soo sweet). Come say 'Hi' if you are anywhere near Preston.

Mr Nigel and I will be at Wrexham Artstamps at the end of the month with the brand spanking new, not quite yet released Woodware stamps. I will be Zentangling away and hoping to run a couple of workshops too.

Anyway there is no rest for the wicked. Back to the grind.

Crafty hugs to you all
