Never have I been so pleased to walk back into my little emporium. Feels like I have been away forever. Thank you so much for your cards, messages, texts, flowers, chocs, even rhubarb! Was lovely to know that out of sight wasn't out of mind! Had my hospital visit earlier this week and I was told it might take three months to feel normal again and that I should only go back to work when I felt ready. I did tell Nige this but he marched me swiftly back to Lady Heyes the next morning and set me to work. Apparently I have had acute viral vestibular neuronitis which is inflammation of the nerve leading from the inner ear to the brain. I assure you I have no intention of getting that again, ever! I have been told my balance may never be the same again so double pirouettes are out from now on. I have resumed driving again this week so you might want to give me a wide berth if you see me on the road!
I love Autumn and have been so sad to miss a good chunk of it. Still it seems the weather is mostly mild and the leaves are only just turning. Thank goodness I didnt miss pumpkin season. Talking about leaves I just wanted to share this card. This is a lovely Francoise Read design stamp and is so versatile. Could be used for zentangle too but this card was paper pieced with decorative paper and coloured with Sakura pens using non-traditional colours.
Our Nov/Dec schedule is just out. My classes include a Zentangle Christmas card class suitable for even beginners on Friday, Nov 29th; a Christmas Memory File Class making an album that will hold more than 50 photos if you wish and using the brand spanking new Heidi Swapp Believe kit (that includes rub-ons)and retails for £9.99 as our base. The Memory File album class on the July ScrapCamp was a massive hit. This one is on Sunday, Dec 1st. If you like the idea but don't want to do a Christmas one just tell us when you book and you can use the other new non-Christmas file kit. I will also be running a Christmas folded mini book class from the November retreat on Wed, Dec 11th. Hope some of you can join me.
Don't forget our Christmas Coffee Morning on Thurs Dec 5th. People rush to book for this so that they don't miss Nige's annual Christmas quiz!!! Lol.
Keep warm and keep crafting,
